Parks for outdoor Fitness Bootcamp locations

Your Programme Package gets you UNLIMITED sessions. However, as part of the programme, you do have to commit to attending an average of 2 sessions per week. We want you to get your RESULTS! It helps having someone to be accountable to, when it comes to getting motivated!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What happens if I miss a session?

At the commencement of the Program, your Oxygen Handbook has a tracking sheet that encourages you to book in advance. That way, you’re committed in your diary and we can help hold you accountable for turning up. You can also book as many extra sessions as you like.

Email to info @ thehappinesscentre.com 24 hours in advance if you can’t make a session. Missed sessions will not be refunded, especially if they are for a Fitness Assessment or Osteopath/Sports Treatment.

What level of fitness do I need to be?

The purpose of an Oxygen Fitness Bootcamp is to ensure you are improving your fitness levels. Sessions are tailored to the group’s overall level of fitness and individual needs are taken into consideration by offering personalised variations on exercises, depending on people’s level of fitness. Should you have a concern about the suitability of a particular exercise, then you need to speak up and request a variation from the Personal Trainer.

What if I feel too unfit for Bootcamp?

Great! That’s exactly why you’re coming. We want people of all stages of fitness to participate in a bootcamp however if there is any doubt please consult your GP or doctor before you ok with us to determine if this is right for you at this time. You can also use your FREE 30-minute Osteopath Assessment to ask any medical or physical health questions or concerns, such as old injuries, strains or posture.

The Bootcamps can help all incoming fitness levels and with the bootcamps being more intimate than most bootcamps, there is more time for the trainer to work individually so that you are working to the best of your ability. With years of experience our trainers can manage different groups of fitness. The whole point of bootcamp is to improve your fitness and self esteem and to find the stronger, happier, healthier you so find the courage to make that first step and you won’t look back.

How can the bootcamp benefit me?

The bootcamp offers a fitness plan that is suitable for all levels of fitness. Before each bootcamp the fitness instructor will give you a mini lesson on motivation and strategies to help you feel more confident from the inside which will dramatically benefit your bootcamp sessions. With the right mentality you’ll find it easier to achieve your goals and the bootcamp is one of them. Most bootcamps focus on just sweat and then you'll often find within a few weeks or months down the line the bootcamper has gone back to old ways.

Here at Oxygen we educate and develop your mindset so that it is a lifestyle change as well as a transformation for your body. We care about you and your journey so we offer Oxygen Handbook to measure your progress, as a support tool as well as nutritional guidelines to eat right for your body type and exercise!

With the help and support of your PT and fellow bootcampers it is easier to hit personal targets. The groups make the sessions more enjoyable and intimate. Plus you’re paying a fraction of the price of normal 1:1 personal training slots but with 10times the support. You’ll find that old habits will begin to vanish and you will become a newer, even better version of YOU within weeks!

Is there a place to keep my belongings during bootcamp?

You will be working in the park and there are no safe places to store belongings so i would suggest keeping valuables to a minimum. Any items you bring are at your own risk. You can leave items with your personal trainer but this is also at your own risk. A suggestion would be to buy a bum bag for valuables.

What do I do with my belongings if it starts raining during bootcamp?

We advise you to bring your valuables in a waterproof bag. The trainer will always have a tarpaulin or ground sheet but again this at your own risk.

What do I need to bring?

You will be provided with the equipment needed so all you need is plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and a positive attitude!

What if I’m late?

The sessions run to a strict schedule so arrive 10 minutes before. The sessions always start with mini motivational lessons so you don’t want to miss that and as the fitness sessions are an hour duration it’s much better to not miss a minute!

What do I wear?

You should wear comfortable clothes that are suitable to exercise in e.g. jogging bottoms, t-shirt and trainers. Be prepared to get dirty as we are working in the outdoors so wear clothes that are suitable for this. Women are advised to wear a sports bra. If you have long hair always bring a hair band or a cap to wear.

Do you run bootcamps in winter?

Yes they do! Come rain, hail or shine we will be out in the park as it builds your strength and resilience. You’ll find that exercising in the rain or cold is actually fun & exciting and you will want to work harder to get warmer so you have the extra motivation! In exceptional circumstances we do have an indoor venue that fits around 25 people for fitness.

Where are the bootcamps located?

The bootcamps are held in Ravenscourt Park & Hammersmith Park (also locally known as the “Japanese Gardens” behind the BBC, end of the cul-de-sac of Frithville Gardens). Click here to see map. We will shortly be adding more locations due to demand.

What if there is not a bootcamp near me?

We are working on getting as many bootcamp locations as possible to help fit up the nation! Email us now to tell us your nearest park! info@thehappinesscentre.com.

When are the sessions?

There are morning sessions on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday and evening sessions on Monday and Wednesday. For times see the current bootcamp timetable. New sessions are added every month.

How do I pay for bootcamp?

It’s easy to register for bootcamp and pay by credit or debit card. Simply call Reception on 020 8749 3792 or email info [at] thehappinesscentre.com to get started.

What if I want to do another bootcamp, do i get discount?

We value our customers here so if you sign up for 4 week program and want to carry on we will give you £10 off your next bootcamp package. If you sign up for the 8 week program we will give you 10% off your next package. Unlike most Bootcamps we don’t want to offer just a quick fix fitness plan but a regular solution to keeping fit and focused.

How much does bootcamp cost?

You have a choice of two Programs designed entirely to see the optimum results for you. Join either the 4-week Get Fit Faster Program £99 which focuses on a big improvement in both fitness and mindset. Or go for the best-value 8-week Body Transformation Program for £179 which will totally transform your life as well as your body, self esteem and motivation in all aspects of your life.

What does each bootcamp session consist of?

The bootcamp varies from every session but will include cardio training as well as muscular strength and stamina exercise. We are looking to work as many areas of the body to see the full effect of bootcamp in your body but this is done by a combination of workouts and the trainer will alternate each session accordingly. You will obviously be in the park so you have vast amounts of space in which to work in and the trainer will bring relevant equipment for each session. The most important element is that bootcamp is enjoyable and you are guaranteed the fun factor in every class.

Are all Personal Trainers qualified?

We pride ourselves on having some of the best fitness trainers around so they all have minimum Level 3 Personal Training Qualifications as well as First Aid training and insurance.

What if I need a time extension due to holiday?

You need to email info [at] thehappinesscentre.com at least 7 days before your holiday so that we can give you up to a week’s time extension on your bootcamp. If you know you have a holiday planned at the time of your booking it is best to let us know as soon as possible.

How old do you have to be to join bootcamp?

We welcome all ages over 18. As long as you’re able to run we can help all shapes, sizes, ages.

What if I have an injury?

If you are in any doubt over your fitness we advise you to seek medical assistant before joining up to bootcamp. Your doctor will be able to help you decide if it is the right thing to do at the time and weather you need to recover for longer.

What should I eat before bootcamp?

We advise not eating at least 1-2 hours before exercising so have a light meal or snack beforehand as exercising on a full stomach can make you feel sick. You can check out all our tips and guidelines in your free booklet which will give you recipes and eating for exercise suggestions.

Do you offer private or one-to-one Personal Training sessions?

We do offer private personal training London that can be organised through Reception at The Happiness Centre on 020 8749 3792.
