Meditation doesn't have to be a vision of monks sitting cross-legged quietly in a cave for hours! Companies like IBM, Apple and Microsoft are part of the growing trend to run regular Meditation Sessions as part of their Employee Wellbeing Programs. Why? Because meditation is renowned for relaxing both the mind and the body. This helps reduce blood pressure, let go of stress, release emotional and mental tension whilst boosting energy, vitality and creative thinking for better problem-solving. It is a simple, cost-effective and time-effective way to manage stress!

Modern meditation is a fast and easy process you can do anywhere, anytime to get you back into 'balance' with your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Just a few minutes throughout the day will relax the nervous system and calm the mind.

Treating yourself each day to regular 'wellbeing break' is essential to maintaining balanced mental and emotional states. Pause and pay attention to your self-care at least 3 times a day for at least 2 minutes. That’s 6 minutes of time invested to improve your daily wellbeing. Your body and mind deserve it - and everyone around you also deserves to experience your most alive ‘you’!

Mini-Meditation Exercise

Try this 2 minute simple meditation today for your self-care. Why not try this at your desk as a
mini wellbeing break. Use this process to indulge in a few moments of inner peace on your way
to and from work.

  • CLOSE your eyes
  • PAUSE to connect to your breathing. You can do this by taking your awareness (or your attention) inside to focus on your diaphragm or belly. Breath connects the body with the mind. Yogis often say that when you master your breath you can master ‘life’.
  • BREATHE down into your belly for three breaths IN through your nose and OUT through your mouth, releasing stored tension on your OUT breath.
  • IMAGINE you are enjoying your favourite garden, beach, forest, special place feeling warm and relaxed. Notice yourself relaxing in this place, letting go of tension with each breath.
  • BREATHE six times slowly in and out through your NOSE, breathing pure sunshine and positive energy IN to enhance your experience of warmth, relaxations, pleasure and releasing tension on the OUT breath.
  • PAUSE to feel alive in your body, thank yourself silently for this moment, then invite yourself to enjoy and appreciate your next task with renewed joy and energy.
  • OPEN your eyes, feel present in the ‘now’ and slowly begin enjoying your next activity. Enjoy a glass of water to feel refreshed and hydrated.

For an extra-special treat, keep your favourite rejuvenating mist or spray handy in a desk drawer or handbag, so you can spray your face, neck and hands before and after your meditation break.


Introduction to Meditation (Level 1)

Introduction to Meditation (Level 1) In this introductory course, you will learn about the history, foundations and science of meditiation. Throughout the programme, we share Meditation Worksheets to support your learning. The majority of each session is experiential: learning meditation by doing. We practise a range of techniques, so you can find what meditation practices best suit you. There is time during each session to share your insights, experiences and have your questions about Mediation answered. By the end of this course, participants have a sound grounding in meditation techniques, along with the confidence and discipline to practise as regularly as they desire. Most participants achieve their intentions of daily self-practice for relaxing, developing insight and enhancing daily feelings of emotional and mental wellbeing.

Meditation - Open weekly session

Anyone is welcome to attend these weekly sessions. Each session is designed to evolve mindfulness, deepen your understanding of meditation and grow self-awareness to a new level. Building on the experiences of Level 1, you now explore deepening, expansive meditations to assist in greater healing, insight, problem-solving and growth. You will more easily appreciate the duality of happiness and encourage your natural emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Prepare to welcome noticeable transformations in your ability to see life more clearly, your willingness to let some things go, and make more conscious choices aligned with your values, beliefs and personal truth. This is a spiritual, non-religious approach to meditation and encourages you to reveal your way (rather than a singular way) and your truth (rather than THE TRUTH). Creative meditation opens the heart and the mind to your own divine self. Open to all - completion of Introduction to Meditation (Level 1) is preferred but not essential.
