Craniosacral TherapyCraniosacral Therapy (CST) is a very gentle, powerful, hands on form of treatment whose non-invasive presence encourages the body back to stillness where healing can take place. CST is about listening to the body’s intrinsic rhythms, pulsations, patterns of congestion and resistance through the medium of touch. Through this deep listening the therapist encourages a revitalization of the system and assists the release of resistances in the tissues and fluids of the body. Is CST suitable for everyone? Craniosacral therapy is used to treat many commonly occurring health complaints and conditions. It is particularly well known for helping people with back pain, stress or emotional problems, headaches and migraines, and birth trauma and is also highly effective as a general therapy to help people feel well and get back “in balance”. CST is effective in helping many conditions: What happens in a treatment? Before you start, your therapist will take a case history and ask you questions about specific ailments which are bothering you. You will then be asked to lie down, fully clothed, with your shoes off. Your therapist will then start the therapy by touching you very lightly on different parts of the body. Craniosacral therapy is different for everyone. You may feel heat, tingling, gentle pulsing, a feeling of increased gravity or a sense of profound meditation and relaxation. The best way to find out more is to try it yourself with our specialist Craniosacral Therapist, Jack Smith or in conjunction with Osteopathy book with Blossom Heath-Lambert.
